Being a Futures Associate has given me the opportunity to explore many different roles. We work with different teams, people, and topics every four months and leave each rotation with an abundance of knowledge. Becoming comfortable with change has helped me develop both professionally and personally. This experience has broadened my horizons and has helped me figure out where my interests lie.

One of the most valuable skills I have developed in this program is becoming my own advocate. Confidently expressing my skills and areas of interest has allowed me to take on greater responsibilities. It has also enabled me to learn from others about topics I am less familiar with. Self-advocacy has allowed me to immerse myself into the material quicker and become a contributing member of each team I have worked with.
Who would you recommend joining the Futures Program?
The Futures Program is a great opportunity for anyone who is a team player, optimistic and eager to learn. Learning about different areas of a business can be daunting. However, developing these skills will help you navigate the program efficiently and become knowledgeable within the industry.
How has your journey within the Futures Program influenced your career journey and personal growth?
I left college not knowing exactly what I wanted to do. It’s a challenge that many of us face, but this program gave me exposure to many roles and a chance to discover my interests. Over the past year, I have learned more about the business and myself than I could have imagined. As important as it is to know what you like, it is just as important to know what you don’t like and that’s the beauty of this program. Rotating through different teams allows us to glimpse what our careers could be and grow an appreciation for various roles within the business. This program promotes personal growth just as much as professional growth, and I am confident that wherever I end up, it will be the best place for me.
