What makes you excited about working at FT?

I love that I get to structure and deliver solutions for my clients, utilizing the tools available to me from working in a well-established and highly respected brand like Franklin Templeton. And on a daily basis I am reminded of how proud I feel to be part of an organization which prides itself in putting clients first. The approach of my team is driven by consultative selling. We invest time to build relationships and understand what solutions the distributor is looking for, and then benchmark this against what our competitors are offering to achieve results. We have a long-term orientation towards our clients. And the organization values and supports this approach.

What do you enjoy about being part of a global company?

I have been exposed to different people from different backgrounds given that we interact with colleagues in Europe, Asia and the U.S. on a daily basis. I get to learn new customs, traditions, and ways of working, forcing me to reevaluate the way I see the world. It keeps me on my toes as I learn new terminology, business practices and techniques to develop myself professionally.

What makes FT unique?

Franklin Templeton is a truly global brand. It is one of a handful of asset managers whose name recognition opens doors. What I also appreciate about Franklin Templeton is that it realizes that the people working here make it such a great institution. As a result, Franklin Templeton is always willing to invest is in its’ people. My own journey at Franklin Templeton is an example. I joined Franklin Templeton in India in 2004 as an assistant manager. By 2011 I had grown into the role of sales head for key national distributor relationships in Mumbai. In 2011, I transferred to Dubai as regional sales manager for Franklin Templeton for the Gulf countries. And in early 2019, I was entrusted with the additional responsibility of growing our Africa distribution business. FT has rewarded my every success with a new challenge or an additional responsibility, recognizing that for me it is important to keep setting my targets and goals higher and higher.
