Pay for Performance

We apply our Pay for Performance philosophy to both base and incentive pay, which is designed to pay employees within competitive market ranges based on individual performance and contributions.

Base Pay – This is the salary you will receive on a regular basis for performing your job duties. Employees are paid a competitive salary, based on the local market, individual qualifications and responsibilities.

Incentive (Bonus) Pay - Most roles at Franklin Templeton are eligible for our annual incentive plan, based on overall corporate, department and individual performance. The objective is to provide the greatest rewards to our top performers.

Employee Stock Investment Plan (ESIP) - Our Employee Stock Investment Plan provides eligible employees* with the opportunity to purchase Franklin Resources, Inc. (BEN) common stock at a 15% discount off the fair market value on the first or last day of a six month purchase period, whichever is the lower price.

*Exception: Due to local regulations, ESIP is not currently available to employees in mainland China, Russia, Taiwan and Vietnam.

401k Retirement Plan- Allows eligible employees to make salary deferral (salary reduction) contributions on a pretax and/or post-tax basis. Coupled with generous company matching contributions of 75 cents on every dollar you defer into the plan, it is a valuable benefit that will assist you in saving for your retirement.

Employee Referrals - Employee referrals are one of our best sources for attracting great employees. To thank you for making such great referrals, we provide rewards for hired referrals, following an introductory period. Regional differences apply.
