I'm proud to be a part of Franklin Templeton because it gives me the opportunity to learn and grow. I can see that something important is being built in Franklin Templeton Mexico, and for me it’s great being part of this interesting process of growth and know that I can grow with the company, too.

I’ve been given the chance to extend my skills and knowledge by being involved in many areas of the business, especially the local business; the local asset management company in Mexico. I´ve been involved in many different areas, even outside my own expertise, which is great for my professional development.

Why did you decide to return to FTI?
Because I’m convinced that Franklin Templeton is a great company to work for and I feel very comfortable with the team I work with.

I really appreciate the opportunity to return to Franklin Templeton Investements after studying for my master’s degree in Spain for one year.  I’m glad to be back and see that FT keeps growing.

I love being a leader at Franklin Templeton because I love the opportunity to see people reach their true potential even if they don’t initially see it themselves.

My job is to ensure each person can be the best he or she can be, regardless of where (s)he ultimately ends up. I love to be able to help make a difference for employees because they see something new in themselves, live life more consciously, both at work and outside of here, and can ultimately then pair their strengths against the work they do to really thrive. It’s such a gift for me to be able to do that, and I hope it is a gift for those I work with as well.

I love my job/working at Franklin Templeton because I get to work with great people every day in an environment that keeps me on my toes and allows me to do the same for others!

I am constantly learning, whether about the industry, about some new skill, or bettering myself as a leader, and that growth keeps me excited about each day and the future here.

As part of a global team, I have the opportunity to work with multiple different people, cultures, and personalities! At the end of the day, I believe our network, our relationships, our communications are all that we have to ensure we are driving in the same direction and achieving success as a company. Being able to learn about people and build those rapports is so enjoyable for me as a leader.

I would tell someone just starting their career here at Franklin Templeton… Be curious and ask a lot of questions.

The advantage of being a “newbie on the block” is there is no dumb question and people are glad that you’re asking questions. It shows that you’re interested and engaged, especially the well thought out questions. And remember, there is more than one way to do one thing. You could have a really good idea to get something done quickly and effectively, and that perhaps no one else has thought about.

I'm proud to be a part of Franklin Templeton because it allows me to grow and to be the best I can be.

Franklin Templeton is such a big company and there are so many things to learn. Be the one to take on a new challenge, because it provides opportunities to learn new things. You will be rewarded and become more well-rounded in your job and career.

This is an organization focused on Investment Management. After I joined Franklin Templeton my life has changed for good – I have grown from a Senior Analyst to Asst. Vice President in 8 years.  I have a great work-life balance, I am challenged at work which keeps me motivated, I have great working relationship with my boss(es), counterparts and my team members. All this really augurs well for a great working environment. Let me put it this way – My family is extremely proud that I work for Franklin Templeton and so am I.

Janelle, Human Resources

I joined Franklin Templeton because this company has a great reputation for growing talent. When researching companies, a family friend told me about her experience as a Franklin Templeton employee. She shared how the company provides exciting opportunities and helps you gain industry knowledge in a well-established global business.

I’m glad I listened, because joining Franklin Templeton was the best decision for my career. I’ve found that the company gives its employees the room to learn all angles of the company and looks to foster talent from within.

Each and every day is different and brings new and exciting opportunities. Being a part of the Futures program, I have the opportunity to learn and work in several key areas of the company. During my time, I have been able to collaborate with senior leaders on many business decisions, lead projects which will enhance business outlook, and cultivate relationships with our global partners. I know when I find an area of Franklin which suits my personal strengths; I will be pushed to be the best I can be. I know Franklin Templeton has a bright future in store for me.

What was your onboarding experience like?
When I began working for Franklin Templeton, I was immediately welcomed.

The company opened its doors and provided all the tools to succeed throughout my first few months.  During my new employee orientation, I was able to meet seasoned employees who knew all things Franklin. I learned how the foundation of the company came to be and how the corporate values are integrated into all facets of the company. From day one Franklin has felt like home and I plan on growing my career within this organization.

Claus, Portfolio Management & Trading

I love my job at Franklin Templeton because it never gets boring and has allowed me to learn something new almost every day.

As a leader, I’ve been impressed with the positive work ethic across the organization, necessary to perform often complex tasks across borders and time zones. I found that the best thing about being part of a global network of employees is having the possibility of relating to people worldwide, learning about their different views and ways, but always finding something in common.

Deirdre, Accounting/Finance/Audit

Office: Luxembourg
With FTI: since 2003

I'm proud to be a part of Franklin Templeton.  It was my first proper job after university and I feel very lucky that I got the chance from the beginning to work for a company with such strong values. It has definitely shaped my professional integrity.

The best thing about being a part of a global network of employees is that since I started in the Edinburgh office almost 10 years ago in Fund Accounting, I’ve had many fantastic opportunities to travel to different offices, meeting colleagues from around the world while learning about their cultures and worklife. I really enjoyed my time in Fund Accounting and it felt like it was a natural progression when the opportunity to work with the Global Product and Client Services team in Luxembourg came up. I love the dynamic of the Luxembourg office where you can hear people chatting in 2 or 3 different languages all around you -- I’m even starting to understand some of them!

Daniel, Sales

Office: Canada

I joined Franklin Templeton because because of the firm's long history, solid reputation and global presence

The company is well-known, respected and has attracted very bright minds. Franklin Templeton offers clients a comprehensive range of investment solutions from around the world, providing a unique work experience to employees in all departments. The Total Rewards program is particularly appealing, allowing me to participate in the Employee Stock Investment Program, purchasing company shares semi-annually at a discounted price, in addition to investing in Franklin Templeton mutual funds at discounted fees.

I love my job/working at Franklin Templeton because of the people, opportunities and overall commitment to achieving quality results.

I get to work with colleagues locally and around the world, collaborating on ideas, sharing best practices and executing business strategy. Opportunities abound given the various departments, locations and courses provided at the company. I have greatly benefited from participating in and networking at the in-class training sessions, which feature internal or external facilitators. Solutions to challenges are encouraged and recognized, opening doors to participate in exciting projects and work with fellow employees internationally.

Did you feel welcomed when you joined the company? What was your onboarding experience like?

Joining Franklin Templeton was very exciting. I received extensive training and support from both my manager and team members. The new hire orientation was a highlight, where I received a tour of all the company's floors at my location alongside fellow new employees. I appreciated the opportunity to hear from guest speakers outside of my department, including a Compliance Analyst that I have since had the opportunity to work closely with and the Head of National Sales for Canada.

I have a fantastic team with a creative and collaborative culture. We work hard, and we also have a lot of fun. From the initiatives we work on to the family we sponsor over the holidays, we can always count on each other to contribute and deliver. Over the past few years, that feeling of “team” has grown to include many colleagues worldwide.

And now, I know we all look forward to working even more closely with those colleagues in the Global Marketing Services group. I know we’ll be able to unlock even more ideas so we can continue to increase our impact on the organization’s success.

Luis, Legal and Compliance

What I like the most at Franklin Templeton is that even though it is a large listed global company, it has retained a family atmosphere with employees who share the same values and understand that partnership is what got us here in the first place. A real modern family with kids spread out all over the world and able to speak up.  In many firms, firm values are just text in a nice frame displayed in Board Rooms. At Franklin Templeton, people truly live by them. I can pick up the phone anywhere in the world, and I do on a daily basis, in my job, and know I will speak to a colleague, whatever his level of seniority, who has the same goals of putting our clients first, partnering to achieve the best and fairest outcome. The real bonus to me is that we can also have fun while doing it.

Marta, Customer Service & Operations

I would tell someone just starting their career here at Franklin Templeton that they should always have an open mind and learn from every experience and interaction. The more involved one gets, the more beneficial and rewarding the job will be. Regardless of the department you work in – you should try to understand how your role fits in the wider context of the organization and how various tasks overlap. And it is easier than it seems… sometimes even a casual conversation in the elevator may be a valuable learning experience. The more you learn, the easier it will be to make good career decisions and see new development opportunities.

I’m proud to be a part of Franklin Templeton because I feel that it is a solid company based on strong values, including business ethic and work integrity. These core values are shared across the company, regardless of the office location and department’s duties. And you can really see how they influence everyday business decisions, having an impact on every employee in the company. I am proud to work for a company whose brand is recognized world-wide and which brings association with stability, quality and integrity.

How would you describe the company culture?

Regardless of the department you work for, the thing you notice first, is the atmosphere in the company.

Franklin Templeton is very “people-friendly” and very soon you feel like an important member of a bigger organization. Every day I am amazed by how many great people I have met here. They are not only ambitious and engaged in their work, but also extremely open, helpful and willing to share their knowledge and experience and assist you whenever you have a question or doubts. The fact that your co-workers may be spread around the globe and we have daily interactions with various offices (Hyderabad, Chennai, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, St. Petersburg, Rancho Cordova just to name a few) gives you a unique exposure to an international and multicultural environment and – at the same time – the feeling of common goals, values we share and requirements we try to meet.

I would tell someone just starting their career here at Franklin Templeton to be open and think widely as you do not know when you will come across a new challenge in your career path.

In this organization, no one says there is only one way for you. There are many opportunities around if you endeavor to find and to grasp. Try to enjoy working wherever you are, whoever you work with. I think that is a key success factor in your career life.

Radek, Project Management

Office: Poznan
With FTI: since 2007

I would tell someone just starting their career here at Franklin Templeton that you  will find some great people here, so take the chance to learn from them.

How has FTI helped you to expand your knowledge?  I started off as a political science graduate with no investment industry knowledge. Now I’m an expert on the business of Transfer Agency with a broad knowledge of mutual funds. I also learned a lot about project management and working in a multicultural environment.

What is it like working for global organization? I’ve been working at Franklin Templeton Investments for over four years now, and thus I managed to learn company’s culture, become a part of it and even start creating it, at least on the local level.

I have always wanted to work in a multi-cultural and international environment. Franklin has proved to be a good choice to pursue this desire. While working in Poznan I face challenges of a global importance. As a part of my day – to – day work I cooperate with colleagues from offices located all over the world. It gives me an opportunity to polish my language skills and deepen intercultural awareness. Moreover – I’m meeting interesting people. In my opinion this is where the Company’s assets are – in FTI’s employees. During the time I’ve spent here I met many interesting people. I learned to build my motivation on their successes and devotion. I enjoy working and spending my free time with them. These people are my Franklin Templeton Investments – always smiling, with great sense of humor, open and friendly.

The best thing about being a part of a global network of employees is that it gives me an opportunity to work with and understand different cultures.

What I appreciate the most is that though we come from different cultures, there is an underlying Franklin Templeton culture that binds us together. We try to understand one another and work towards a common goal.

I love being a leader at Franklin Templeton because we do things the right way.

We have very strong ethical values which makes it easier for leaders to make decisions. The core values of put clients first. Build relationships. Achieve quality results. Work with integrity helps the leaders drive the organization on the right path.

I love my job/working at Franklin Templeton because there is never a dull moment.

My job has been changing / expanding over a period of time. I started off as Head of Compliance / Internal Audit and then was given additional responsibility of Fund Accounting. The Pioneer ITI acquisition and subsequent integration was one of the biggest challenges of my career which taught me so many lessons. When we got functionally aligned, I took on the role of FTS Head India AMC and then added the responsibility of Delivery Manager in ISC Hyderabad. The most recent addition to my responsibility was the addition of Middle East FTS operations. This is just my story but want to share that whenever there are internal opportunities, we look at the internal candidates first before beginning to look out.

Sandeep, Sales
